Project Policies & Originality
Originality of Concept
All submitted projects must be new and original concepts created by the team members. Projects that are a reuse of a previous work or have been submitted to past competitions are not eligible. The goal is to foster new ideas and fresh solutions.
Use of Generative AI
The use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) is permitted for assistance in areas such as brainstorming, debugging code, or generating boilerplate content. However, the core logic, architecture, and unique implementation of the project must be the original work of the team. Teams must be fully transparent about their use of AI tools and be prepared to explain all aspects of their project's code and functionality during judging.
Intellectual Property
Teams retain all intellectual property (IP) rights to their projects. By entering the competition, you grant Navicat a limited, non-exclusive license to use project materials (like team names and project descriptions) for promotional purposes related to the AI Techathon.
